I was appointed as Head of Family Law at Mewies Solicitors in 2014 and became a Director in May 2017.  I have specialised in all aspects of divorce, relationship breakdown and children matters (including the negotiation of Pre-Nuptial agreements) for over 20 years.    I pride myself on advising and supporting clients through what can be one of the most difficult and stressful periods of their lives.

I have a wealth of experience in dealing with high value financial disputes following relationship breakdown.  As well as representing people who have significant assets, I also act for clients where the assets are limited and the priority is the parties’ needs.  I also specialise in complicated Farming cases and am involved in a number of Intervenor cases which are extremely complex.  My role involves acting for a wide range of clients and representing husbands, wives or partners (civil or otherwise).

Family matters need to be dealt with sensitively and thoroughly.  My extensive experience and meticulous attention to detail together with a tried and trusted panel of experts are a winning combination.  I believe in providing a first class service but with clear, cost effective advice.  I provide a ‘Rolls Royce Service’ displaying depth and experience gained in city practice but without the price tag.

I am a member of Resolution and have achieved, through independent assessment, Specialist Accreditation in handling Advance Financial Provision and Cohabitation matters.  I am keen to work on negotiated settlements where possible and have an excellent success rate in helping clients achieve agreement.

I am married with two children and in my spare time I enjoy most outdoor sports, particularly running and skiing.
