Emma Lacey

I joined Mewies Solicitors in June 2018 as a Personal Assistant within the Family Department, having previously enjoyed a successful career in the medical industry both privately and within the NHS for almost 30 years.

Keen to pursue a career in law, I studied for the ILSPA Legal Secretaries Diploma, completing those studies in 2017 and over the last 18 months have been able to utilise and develop those skills throughout my time at Mewies.

I am delighted to have been promoted to the role of Family Law Assistant within the Family Department and feel that I will bring a kind and thoughtful approach to clients who are going through a difficult time. I pride myself on undertaking all work to a high standard and am meticulous in my preparation of documents. I enjoy the broad range of challenges working in family law brings and look forward to developing my skills further within the department.

I live locally in Skipton and in my spare time am a keen runner having completed the Yorkshire Marathon and various other distance races as part of my local running club. I also enjoy training at the gym.
