Victoria Iliff

Director & Solicitor

I joined Mewies Solicitors in July 2017 from a local firm of solicitors and became a Director in 2022.

I have specialised in all aspects of family law including divorce, separation, children matters and financial settlement thoughout my career, gaining Chartered Legal Executive status in 2013 and subsequently being admitted as a Solicitor in 2018.

I would hope that my clients feel that I act in a sensitive manner towards their problems, providing solutions and support through one of the most difficult situations in life. I understand the importance of explaining matters in a clear and thorough way, and ensuring clients are fully aware of the progress of the case, and their options.  I try to respond quickly to clients queries and often say there is no question to small to answer.

I am a member of Resolution, an organisation which encourages lawyers to work in a way to avoid further conflict in what is already a very difficult situation for clients.

I became a member of West & North Yorkshire Young Resolution Committee in 2021 and am now the secretary of that Committee.  I enjoy being involved in the Committee, including assisting with arranging training courses and being involved in the work of Resolution through that Committee.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and have an interest in dressmaking.

Client feedback

Thank you for your email. I can’t put into words how relieved and happy I am. But mostly I would like to thank you for all your help, support and guidance. You have been so very kind and supportive and enabled me to restart my life. I finally feel free and able to move forward. I know that you have worked extremely hard to get this done quickly, and in a way that protects my future, and for that I will always be truly grateful. I can now go to visit my son for his birthday without having to worry and will be having an afternoon tea at Betty’s to celebrate ! With very very best wishes and many thanks again…….
