I have been dealing with claims for victims of crimes and obtaining compensation as part of a dispute resolution team. Not many people know you may be able to claim for money from a government set up agency if you have been a victim of a violent crime or sexual assault. The agency is called the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA).

The scheme is a government-funded program designed to provide financial support to those who have suffered physical or psychological injuries because of a crime. I understand how difficult this process can feel, and the team are here to support you with compassion, expertise, and dedication.
A claim can provide financial support for:

✔ Physical injuries – from minor harm to life-changing conditions
✔ Psychological trauma – including PTSD, anxiety, and emotional distress
✔ Loss of earnings – if your injuries have impacted your ability to work
✔ Special expenses – such as medical treatment, therapy, and care costs
✔ Sexual abuse – one time assault or over a period of time

To be eligible, the crime must have been reported to the police, and in most cases, you have two years from the date of the incident to apply. However, if the crime occurred when you were under 18, you have until your 20th birthday to make a claim. For historic sexual abuse, claims may still be considered beyond this timeframe if there is a valid reason for the delay.

I know that taking this step can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to go through it alone. Our team is here to guide and support you, ensuring your claim is handled with care, discretion, and determination.
