At Mewies Solicitors, we believe that supporting our clients starts with supporting our people. That’s why we’re committe

d to ensuring our team have the skills and knowledge they need to look after one another, both in and out of the workplace.

We’re proud to share that several members of our staff have recently completed First Aid and Mental Health First Aid training. These important qualifications mean that our team are not only equipped to respond effectively in the event of a medical emergency, but also to provide a listening ear and initial support to colleagues who may be struggling with their mental health.

Investing in this training reflects our wider commitment to wellbeing across the firm. We want Mewies to be a place where everyone feels safe, supported and valued – and where clients can feel reassured knowing that our team are trained to respond with care and professionalism in all circumstances.

Adrienne Patterson, Practice Manager, commented:

“The First Aid & Mental Health First Aid training gave me the skills and confidence needed to step in and support my team, or clients, should it be required.”

Lauren Akrigg, Accounts/Admin Assistant, added:

“The Mental Health First Aid training gave me a better understanding of how to support others, and the tools needed to make a difference, both personally and professionally. Knowing I can step in and help, whether someone is having a medical emergency or a tough day, has made me feel more connected to my team.”

This is just one of the many steps we’re taking to prioritise wellbeing at Mewies Solicitors, and we’re proud of the colleagues who have taken on these vital roles.
